The Challenge
Zeplin wanted to introduce its platform to Figma users through a campaign that felt both familiar and unmistakably its own. The main challenge was finding the right visual balance between two very different design worlds: Figma’s vibrant, playful aesthetic and Zeplin’s clean, minimal look. The video needed to attract Figma’s audience without ever feeling like it belonged to a Figma’s campaign.
Our Approach
We developed a hybrid visual style that bridged both identities. To make the video instantly relatable, we leaned into Figma’s visual language for select elements and added more color to the overall palette. At the same time, we grounded the environments and backgrounds in Zeplin’s neutral aesthetic, almost like having Figma’s energy living inside Zeplin’s world. This careful balance ensured the visuals drew attention while keeping the message authentically Zeplin. Our role focused on crafting the visual direction and animation, working alongside a partner team that developed the script.
The Outcome
The final video resonated with Figma’s audience, sparking curiosity and connection while clearly positioning Zeplin as a distinctive, complementary tool within their creative ecosystem. It struck the perfect balance between familiarity and originality: visually engaging, strategically aligned, and unmistakably Zeplin.
